and even met quite a few interesting people. For this reason, I want to share with you a few very simple meditation techniques, which my teacher showed me in my meditation course today. With this information, you can start to focus on meditation on a daily basis. I’m sure that you are thinking right now that you hardly even have

time to make dinner, so how are you going to squeeze in the time to meditate? The essential point to remember is that fitting in a few minutes of meditation daily will give you the opportunity to dramatically enhance the quality of your entire day. Experts recommend to meditate for a 10 minute minimum every day, which will give you the time to center your thoughts, release stress, and promote overall relaxation.

Meditation is quite simple, and you only need to focus on the rhythm of your breath by counting as you breathe in and out. Of course, your mind will probably start wandering at first, but that is not something to worry about. This is a very normal response as you begin meditation. Gently acknowledge this fact, and continue to guide your mind back into counting your breathing patterns. Soon your mind should start to slow down and naturally stop wandering.

How do you meditate?
  1. Start by sitting comfortably in a chair with your back straight, and close your eyes and began to concentrate on your breathing. Be aware of counting your breath as you breathe in and breathe out.
  2. Do not try to control or slow down your breathing, but breathe naturally, and pay attention as the air passes through your nose and lungs and is then exhaled.
  3. After a few natural breaths, began to count. As you breathe in, slowly count to three, and as you breathe out, again slowly count to three. Continue to naturally breathe and count in this pattern.

If you begin to think about something else instead of focusing on your breathing, simply acknowledge it, and return to your breathing and counting. Once 10 minutes have passed, you can slowly return to normal by opening your eyes, taking in everything that you see in the room, getting up from your chair, and stretching your muscles.
